Mrs. Martin has been at Sacred Heart since 2000. She has a teaching credential from National University. Before teaching, Mrs. Martin earned a master's in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University and a bachelor's in Psychology from Santa Clara University. She worked as an occupational therapist for 8 years, and spent a year working with children with autism. Mrs. Martin has two children, who graduated from Sacred Heart. Born and raised in Hawaii, she enjoys sharing her Hawaiian culture with her students. Mrs. Martin is also the curriculum coordinator and a mentor teacher. Every morning she is excited about what the class will be learning that day. She enjoys teaching, and especially, preparing children for the Sacrament of Eucharist. In her class, Mrs. Martin hopes that her students learn to respect themselves and others, and learn the skills necessary for success in life.
