Ms. Phillips says that she is a Diocese of San Jose Catholic school educator through and through. In fact, she has spent almost all of her life in the Catholic system having graduated from St. Christopher's Elementary and Presentation High School. Ms. Phillips is a credentialed teacher and is currently enrolled in a Master's of Education program at Santa Clara University focusing on Science Technology Engineering and Math (known as STEM) education. Ms. Phillips is regarded as an innovative teacher, and emphasizes collaborative activities in her 5th Grade program. She is becoming a leader in the area of “Design Thinking” an innovative educational approach championed at Stanford University. Ms. Phillips is in her second year at Sacred Heart and she loves to bake, run, and visit Disneyland as often as possible.
