School Advisory Council Activities

Election of Officers

During our final meeting last June, the following individuals were elected to serve as SAC officers for the 2011–2012 school year:

  • Chairman — Shelley Cargill
  • Vice Chair — Jennifer Lauck
  • Secretary — Ed Hayden

Support Group Sponsors and Committee Leaders

One of the first and most important accomplishments of the 2011–2012 school year was the identification of school parents willing and able to lead this year’s SAC-related volunteer efforts . In this regard, the following SAC members were selected to lead our 5 support groups:

  • Catholic Identity — Trudi Reid
  • Enrichment — Maria Blanc
  • Fundraising — Cathleen Harter
  • Public Relations — Lynn Ball and Mona Awad
  • Strategic Planning — Patrick Nash

The Support Group Sponsors play a critical role in facilitating communication between the SAC and the 25+ committees that conduct volunteer activities during the SHS school year. In addition to facilitating communication, the Sponsors also assist with the establishment of committee leaders (chairs, co-chairs, etc.) and members.
